Information
Electric vehicles are making the running Environmentally friendly, energy-efficient and cost-efficient: These three buzzwords highlight the advantages of electromobility. One simple way to supply the electric vehicle with electricity is the charging station from Siemens. It is installed in a stationary location and has a standardized connection socket, whose current and data contacts allow the charging process to take place fully automatically. Standard charging takes place with alternating current of 230 or 400 volts and outputs of between 3.7 and 44 kilowatts. Depending on the state of charge and capacity of the batteries, charging takes from a few minutes to several hours. This is particularly suitable at night, when, among other things, a lot of cheap and environmentally friendly electricity from wind energy can be used.

Profile
Siemens has a comprehensive portfolio of products and services for electromobility. The most obvious of these are charging stations for charging electric vehicles. Here, in addition to the normal portfolio, the focus is on fast and direct current charging stations as well as battery changing equipment and the necessary measurement technology. In parallel, our network planning services ensure that the required infrastructure behind the charging stations can be intelligently expanded.
