Future-proof mobility is on many pillars and is of outstanding importance for Germany as a business and technology location. The aim is to have at least 1 million electric vehicles on Germany's roads by 2020. The course for this is being set today. German industry is supplying innovative technologies, concepts and solutions for the sustainable mobility of tomorrow. Rohde & Schwarz Teisnach has positioned itself as a producer of charging stations for electric vehicles through a major order from RWE AG in Germany. Since the start of the nationwide "Electric Mobility" project initiated by RWE, 400 units have already been manufactured. As a service provider, the manufacturing plant is responsible for parts of the development as well as for the entire design and production of the charging stations. In September 2008, RWE AG launched the nationwide project „Elektro-Mobilität". In addition to ADAC, Sixt, Siemens and Germany's largest parking provider APCOA, Rohde & Schwarz Teisnach is also part of the team.

Charging stations for your projects

Consumers want a dense network of charging stations. These should be available wherever vehicles are parked for longer periods of time, for example in company parking lots, in parking garages, in public parking lots and, of course, at home. The first charging stations are also being placed in rural areas. Thus, on 01.05.2010, we installed the first charging station for the project start „E-Forest" in the Bavarian Forest and ceremoniously opened by Minister of State Helmut Brunner. The starting signal for an electric vehicle future has fallen. Fueling is now called charging - with charging stations from Rohde & Schwarz Teisnach. Charging E-Mobility!

In Teisnach, Rohde & Schwarz has a manufacturing plant and approximately 1,100 employees on site.
