Health Care BY Your Side

Health Care BY Your Side (HCBYS) is an initiative designed to improve digital healthcare in Franconia. It builds on the Franconia Telematics Infrastructure Model Region (TIMO-Franken).

HCBYS was initiated by the Bavarian State Ministry of Health, Care, and Prevention (StMGP). It aims to show both healthcare professionals and citizens how digital solutions work and how they can be used in everyday life.

The goal is to integrate digital health applications into daily life so that patients receive faster and better care. People working in medicine, nursing, therapy, or other health professions—so-called service providers (LEI)—are also expected to benefit.

To this end, the first step is to gain an overview of how familiar the participants already are with digital applications: What is already working well? Where are there still problems? What questions remain unanswered?

Through HCBYS, the general public and healthcare providers are actively involved in the digital transformation of outpatient and inpatient medical, nursing, and therapeutic care facilities.

The goal: needs-based, practical, effective, and safe healthcare that puts people first.

HCBYS is backed by various organizations, which we would like to introduce to you:

• Bavarian State Ministry of Health, Care, and Prevention (StMGP) — The StMGP is the project’s commissioning authority.
• Bayern Innovativ Gesundheit — As the project manager, Bayern Innovativ Gesundheit organizes the project.
• Medical Valley EMN e. V. — Medical Valley EMN e. V. supports Bayern Innovativ Gesundheit in various initiatives.
• SRH University Campus Fürth – SRH University provides scientific support to HCBYS.
• Advisory Board—The Advisory Board serves as a consultant to HCBYS and acts as a balancing force.
