Microsystems and microstructured products are characterized by a wide bandwidth with regard to their characteristic properties, which on the one hand is determined by the product function, but on the other hand is also subject to the influence of the available manufacturing processes. Thus, a main aspect in the selection of the manufacturing process is the material to be processed. Other criteria include the structural size of the micromechanical components, the overall dimensions of the component and the batch size of the product to be manufactured. Since with increasing spreading of microtechnical products also their bandwidth at production-determining characteristics increases, inevitably also the technological range of micro manufacturing techniques must grow. With the laser micromachining system lamiCAVE, GFH GmbH offers an all-round micromachining tool that has been developed for use in prototyping as well as for series production.

The GFH GmbH develops manufacturing processes for micro material processing, especially in the fields of laser material processing, Electro Discharge Machining and Electro Chemical Machining. The design and construction of special machines, in which the developed manufacturing processes find their application, as well as precision manufacturing in the service sector are further core competencies of GFH.
