The German Copper Institute was founded in 1927 and is regarded as the most important technical-scientific advisory body in Germany for all questions concerning the application of copper and its alloys.

The institute combines research and application with the aim of creating an open knowledge platform. In doing so, the German Copper Institute supports numerous market development projects as an innovation driver, offers solutions for specific areas of application and well-founded information for specialist and public circles – competently, neutrally and in partnership.
