Leverage Robotics - The flexible robot co-worker of tomorrow

Leverage Robotics is the latest spin-off of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and develops highly flexible robot assembly stations for safe and efficient human-robot collaboration. The product range includes the Flex Assembly Cell, Tool Cubes, Tool Cubes Skills and the Robotic Airbag: the Leverage Robotics Tool Cubes can be combined with commercially available robot grippers by exchanging the existing gripper jaws for the Leverage Robotics Tool Cubes - gripper jaws. In addition, a suitable software extension is offered, which is integrated into the teaching of the robot and enables intuitive operation. The topic of safety in the close coexistence of humans and robots is taken into account with the Robotic Airbag, which encloses sharp-edged objects during rapid robot movements and thus protects humans from injury. The Robotic Airbag received the KUKA Innovation Award in 2017. The most comprehensive package is the Flex Assembly Cell, which includes all components and can be rented at a fixed monthly price. With this option, we aim to offer small and medium-sized companies in particular a flexible assembly solution without high investment hurdles and to promote their competitiveness.
