Since its foundation in 1993, the CiS Institute for Microsensor Technology has developed into a nationally and internationally recognized partner for industrial companies and research institutions in the field of microsystems technology. In the newly built Microsystems Technology Application Center in Erfurt-Southeast, employees have access to modern clean rooms and laboratories with powerful equipment.

The CiS Institute for Microsensors is a non-profit business-oriented research institution in the field of silicon-based microsystems technology. CiS sees itself as a market-oriented R&D service provider with a continuous value chain from R&D to manufacturing: Design and System Design, Wafer Processing, Packaging and Interconnection Technologies, Measurement and Testing, Calibration, Solid State Analytics, Silicon Wafer Manufacturing Service and Assembly Service.
