Information
The idea of founding the "Chinaforum Bayern e.V." arose in 2003 from the idea that Bavaria, the federal state with the largest economic exchange of all federal states with China, does not have any network structures to promote China interests. On October 30, 2003, the Chinaforum was founded as a non-profit association. Among the 20 founding members and cooperation partners are Bavarian company representatives (including Audi AG, Rhode & Schwarz International GmbH, Krauss-Maffei Kunststofftechnik GmbH), the German Museum, the Asia-Pacific Forum Berlin, and representatives of cultural and scientific institutions in Bavaria. The China Forum is supported by the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Transport and Technology. With the implementation of China-related events and regular meetings of members, the China Forum offers a platform for the Bavarian-Chinese dialogue. The business office on Museum Island supports members in all matters relating to China and organizes joint projects and events.
