Municipal umbrella organization with currently 270 member cities and municipalities.

• Acts as an "advocate" of cities and municipalities vis-à-vis parliament and state government for the perception of local self-government.
• Bundles the interests of the cities in one hand - in position statements on planned laws and regulations, in initiatives towards the state parliament and the state government, the Association of Cities brings in the interests of its members, so that the administration works citizen-oriented and effective.
• Is also committed to the interests of cities vis-à-vis the business community and other interest groups.
• Advises its members, gives you legal information and mediates the exchange of experience among themselves.
