Bavarian Chips Alliance

Bavaria is one of Europe's leading locations for the semiconductor and microelectronics industry. 

In order to further strengthen the industry and the business location and to make supply chains more resilient, State Minister Hubert Aiwanger launched the Bavarian Semiconductor Initiative in the fall of 2021. One of the main pillars of this initiative of the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy is the BAVARIAN CHIPS ALLIANCE network. 

The central goal of this semiconductor network is to promote exchange and cooperation among partners in the semiconductor value chain as well as with science and users.

Bayern Innovativ coordinates the BAVARIAN CHIPS ALLIANCE involving already existing cluster and network structures, brings together the players to form a Bavaria-wide semiconductor ecosystem and networks the activities - on a national, European and international level.
