Our high-performance materials (high-strength copper-based alloys, aluminum matrix composites, refractory niobium and tantalum alloys, beryllium, beryllium nickel and beryllium oxide) are designed to meet the challenges associated with the extreme environments of our customers in the aerospace and defense industries. Technology / Research
We bring innovations to the market through our extensive research and development programs. With a team of experienced and qualified engineers, scientists and technicians, we are able to develop new alloy concepts, component designs and production processes. Examples include additive manufacturing, for which we have our own laboratory, as well as clad and electron beam welded materials. The technologies at Materion therefore include both classic process routes for the production of semi-finished products and powder metallurgy processes as well as joining techniques for the production of material composites. We also support our customers with our know-how and network in the further processing of materials.
