Bareways develops AI-powered location intelligence systems for military and safety-critical applications. Our product portfolio includes complete navigation stacks with maps, routing, geocoding and turn-by-turn navigation that can be operated both online and completely offline. The technology is based on a modular geo-data platform that integrates satellite and drone imagery, weather and terrain data as well as tactical restriction zones. This enables risk-aware routing, situational awareness and mission-critical mobility even in contested environments.

Research focuses on AI-supported data fusion (e.g. automatic classification of road and terrain characteristics), probabilistic prediction models for operational capability and weather effects as well as hybrid edge/cloud architectures for resilient, sovereign navigation solutions in the NATO and EU context.

We already support defense and logistics players with prototype solutions for risk-aware routing, weather and terrain-based navigation as well as hybrid offline systems for tactical vehicles and convoys.
