The Fraunhofer Institute for Cognitive Systems IKS conducts research into artificial intelligence, cognitive systems and intelligent software architectures for autonomous systems. As an independent partner to industry, application-oriented research is conducted into reliable software technologies for safety-critical applications in the fields of Industry 4.0, automotive and mobile machinery and commercial vehicles. So that the enormous potential of intelligent software can open up completely new possibilities. As part of the Fraunhofer network, the Fraunhofer Institute for Cognitive Systems IKS is closely integrated into the Information and Communication Technology and Microelectronics Alliances. Together with institutes of these alliances, future projects and new technologies are worked on here.
