Profile

The TAZ for Glass & Processes is a branch of the Deggendorf Institute of Technology in cooperation with the University of Bayreuth, which bundles R&D expertise in the field of glass and process technologies. VES furnaces are developed, built, operated and automated for this purpose. Methods for the analysis, design and complete integration (IMS) of processes are developed for this purpose. Sustainable product innovation is also pursued, e.g. micro hollow glass beads, glass foams or glass flakes.

Technology / Research

The TAZ focuses on the development of resource-saving products and sustainable processes relating to "glass as a material". The focus is on the twin transformation of the entire glass industry, which is supported by R&D and transfer measures.
