The Bavarian fusion network brings together companies, start-ups and research institutions along the entire fusion energy value chain. From high-performance materials, cryogenic and vacuum technology, precision optics and manufacturing technologies to innovative reactor concepts and laser approaches through to safety, engineering and technology transfer - this is where the industrial foundation for the energy of tomorrow is being laid.
Our map shows the players, competencies and connections that are working together to make fusion energy a reality.

Profile
GMH Gruppe start-up for metal powder production and additive manufacturing with a focus on (high) nitrogen-containing alloys.
Technology / Research
(Pressure) embroidered austenites and martensites are characterized by a combination of very high strength, hardness and outstanding corrosion resistance. They are also nickel-free, partially molybdenum-free and paramagnetic.
Products / Services
- Gas atomization of 1.3816, 1.4452, 1.4108, 1.4542 and 1.2344
- Sinter-based additive manufacturing with (high) nitrogen-containing alloys, stainless steel, tool steel, low-alloy steel, nickel-based alloys, titanium alloys, copper alloys and engineering ceramics
- Mechanical processing
- Heat treatment
- Design optimization
- simulation
Information
Our metal powders are specially optimized for the laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) process as well as for sinter-based additive manufacturing processes and metal injection moulding (MIM). Sinter-based additive manufacturing enables the cost-effective production of small, complex prototypes and series components with dimensions of up to 330 x 180 x 100 mm (L × W × H) from a wide range of technical materials.
