Consulting and active support of medium-sized industry in all technological questions are among the basic tasks of the ITV Denkendorf. Ongoing consultations are carried out and practical problems are dealt with directly on site. R&E work is stimulated and accompanied, among others, by representatives of the textile and fiber industry, textile machinery construction and associations.

- The ITV is linked to the Chair of Textile Technology at the University of Stuttgart in terms of personnel via its director as a full professor .
