Profile
The Materials and Environmental Research User Center (AMU) was founded on the initiative of professors from the Institute of Physics and with the support of the Free State of Bavaria. Its partners include research institutions, schools, educational institutions, chambers, associations, as well as companies from a wide range of industries. The essential goal of the AMU is to make the know-how of the Institutes of Physics (IfP) and Materials Resource Management (MRM) as well as other institutes of the University of Augsburg from the mathematical-scientific-technical field usable for society, especially for industry. The expansion and maintenance of this bidirectional knowledge transfer is intended to expand the competence of the institutes and their expertise in application-relevant areas and to strengthen the partners from society and industry. In order to comprehensively achieve these goals, the AMU is divided into the two scientific areas "Contract Analytics and Engineering (AAE) & Projects" and "MINT_Education".
