Actively shaping Bavaria's future with innovations, promoting cooperation between business and science in joint research projects, creating knowledge and intensifying the transfer of knowledge - these are the central tasks of the Bavarian Research Foundation. The aim is to strengthen Bavaria in the international competition for new technologies, create sustainable jobs and use the foundation's funds to help maintain Bavaria's good living and location conditions. The current funding priorities are: Life sciences, information and communication technology, microsystems technology, materials science, energy and environment, mechatronics, nanotechnology as well as process and production technology.
