Sensors for vehicle testing of cars, trucks, commercial vehicles and motorcycles must be highly sensitive, robust and very compact. They should be able to measure even the lowest frequencies and amplitudes and be resistant to vibrations and shocks. Both the acceleration and angular rate sensors as well as the inertial measurement units (IMU) from ASC meet these high demands perfectly. They have been used by well-known car manufacturers for many years, for example in the development of active and passive safety measures, for driving comfort measurements and durability tests or in vibration monitoring and the analysis of vehicle dynamics.

MEMS-based, capacitive acceleration sensors with DC response from ASC are robust, low-noise, highly accurate and also have particularly compact sizes. The ASC AiSys smart acceleration sensor processes measurement data in such a way that features are already extracted from the measurement data by the sensor and transmitted as feature vectors. This is made possible by the fact that the ASC AiSys combines computing power and algorithms and has a bidirectional connection with the rest of the system. This means that the evaluation algorithms for feature extraction can also be adapted during operation.
