Information
Practical and project-oriented studying is at the heart of this master's program. Students work on concrete projects and immediately apply their knowledge in them. They solve the tasks together in a team with other students. In addition to the lecturers, they repeatedly receive specialist stimuli from companies, e.g. in the context of impulse lectures. Coburg University of Applied Sciences cooperates with the Research and Application Center for Digital Future Technologies (FADZ) in Lichtenfels on the Additive Manufacturing and Lightweight Design course. Students can thus benefit from both a strong research orientation (university) and a high level of application orientation (company).

In combination with lightweight construction and new materials, it can contribute to a more careful approach to the environment. Industry has a great need for qualified employees with skills in the field of additive manufacturing. In the Master Additive Manufacturing and Lightweight Design students learn the current trends and developments of these technologies and acquire competences to apply them in the development and manufacturing process (e.g. artificial intelligence, automation, sustainability).
