Combat advantages through resilient technologies

With the workshop "Combat advantages through resilient technologies", the TechHUB Security and Defense at Bayern Innovativ, together with VINCORION Power Systems, brought together key players from the security and defense community in Altenstadt. The focus was on the question of how resilient, energy-efficient and climate-friendly technologies can strengthen operational capability on the battlefield of the future - from "green defense" as a strategic approach to concrete solutions for quiet, robust and networked systems.

Numerous practical examples were presented and intensively discussed in keynotes, discussion rounds, a factory tour at VINCORION and the exhibition with industry partners. The participants took the opportunity to make new contacts, compare requirements and solutions and initiate joint project ideas. The workshop not only provided professional impetus, but also further strengthened the network between the Bundeswehr, industry and science.

The workshop “Operational Advantage through Resilient Technologies” brought together key stakeholders from the security and defence ecosystem in Altenstadt, hosted by VINCORION Power Systems and organized by the TechHUB Security and Defence at Bayern Innovativ. At its core, the event explored how resilient, energy-efficient and climate-friendly technologies can enhance operational capability on tomorrow’s battlefield – treating “Green Defense” not as a buzzword, but as a strategic lever for robustness and sustainability in mission-critical systems.

Through expert keynotes, panel discussions, a guided tour of the VINCORION facilities and an industry exhibition, participants gained deep insights into concrete technological solutions and their practical deployment. The intensive exchange between armed forces, industry and research led to new connections, fresh ideas and promising starting points for future collaborations – strengthening both technological resilience and the broader innovation network.

On July 30, 2025, the TechHUB Security and Defense together with VINCORION Power Systems invites you to the Defense Workshop with the topic "Resilience on the battlefield" in Altenstadt. The aim of the event is to fill the term "Green Defense" with life together with industry, science and consumers - as a strategic approach for more resilience and sustainability in security-relevant technologies.

Participants can expect a varied day program with impulses, discussions and interactive exhibition formats.

The focus will be on the question of how climate-neutral, quiet and energy-efficient systems can shape the battlefield of the future. In a compact exhibition in the afternoon, selected industry partners will present specific technologies, which will be discussed together in small group workshops.

A factory tour and a concluding summary will round off the day.
