Event
Canada-Bavaria SmartTech CONNECT@embedded world 2026
9. March 2026 - 12. March 2026
Copilot,
Canada's Semiconductor Council (CSC) & Bavarian Chips Alliance & Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) Event
On the occasion of Embedded World 2026 in Nuremberg, the Enterprise Europe Network at Bayern Innovativ is welcoming a delegation from the Province of Ontario and the Canadian Semiconductor Council—the national trade association for the Canadian semiconductor industry—together with around 20 highly innovative companies from the fields of smart tech and embedded systems.
The current geopolitical and economic challenges in international trade clearly show that resilience is created through new partnerships, fresh impetus and joint innovation. The Smart Tech & Embedded Systems sector in particular offers enormous opportunities. Canada is therefore planning to make considerable investments to expand its semiconductor and microelectronics capacities and is specifically seeking partnerships in Bavaria. The province of Ontario alone generates almost two thirds of Canada's value added in the semiconductor sector, which corresponds to around 10.2 billion US dollars.
Kick-off event at Bayern Innovativ - Monday, 09.03.2026
This event serves to network the Canadian delegations with the Bavarian ecosystem in the field of semiconductor technologies and smart systems. The focus is on building a fundamental understanding of the respective innovation landscapes and identifying common fields of development. It is intended to create the basis for successful international partnerships, prepare long-term innovation collaborations and technology transfer processes and thus strengthen European - and in particular Bavarian - competitiveness in global innovation ecosystems.
Briefing & Pitching at the trade fair - Wednesday, 11.03.2026
This format is aimed at Bavarian companies and research institutions that want to position their expertise and technologies in the fields of semiconductors and embedded systems internationally.
The focus is on a market briefing that offers in-depth insights into the Canadian semiconductor and embedded systems market, followed by a curated pitching event. This will be followed by a curated pitching event, where Bavarian companies and R&D institutions can present their technologies and innovation projects to the Canadian companies in attendance and at the same time get to know the pitches of the Canadian companies.
The event will conclude with a get-together with catering, an ideal opportunity to continue discussions in a relaxed atmosphere and to deepen valuable international contacts.
