"Spaces of Mobility" Event Series

Health is playing an increasingly important role in the interior of automobiles. The focus is on new materials whose emissions and odors have a positive impact on the health and well-being of people and the environment. At the same time, biosensors—such as those found in smartwatches—are offering an ever-wider range of possibilities. They can measure biometric data from occupants, which in turn can be used to design and regulate lighting or the interior climate.

But what specific use cases can be developed in the areas of health, safety, and well-being? Which healthy materials are suitable for what purposes? What form factors make sense for sensors—firmly integrated into the interior or flexible as wearables? How can these trends be implemented economically? And what can we learn from other interiors—from architecture to trains to airplanes?
