With the ÜBER-AUS project, the textile industry aims to specifically recycle industrial waste materials such as offcuts, yarn remnants and faulty production. The focus here is on better sorting, tracking and cascading use - as well as the development of new business models and product designs that avoid waste from the outset.
In the region of south-west Germany, specific use cases are being developed in the fields of technical textiles and clothing. The aim is to create a resilient and circular value chain through regional cooperation and new marketing channels.
