First steps towards networking in the materials sector in the Danube region
The RTIT project is dedicated to transregional networking in the field of materials in the Danube region from 2024-2026. The aim is to establish knowledge communities that will permanently network the participating project partners, associated partners and other stakeholders. The aim is to further expand materials expertise in the region and to retain it in view of global competition.
The first steps in this direction were taken at the RTIT project meetings in Ljubljana and Nuremberg. The project partners exchanged views on methods of innovation, knowledge and technology transfer and presented the various formats they use to support companies in this regard.
Bayern Innovativ presented the transfer landscape in Bavaria, the Bavarian innovation strategy Innovationsland.Bayern, the High Tech Agenda and High Tech Agenda Plus, cooperation within the Bavarian Research and Innovation Agency (BayFIA) and with other partners, as well as the Bavarian Cluster Offensive. The focus was always on best practices from Bayern Innovativ's day-to-day work with companies and in various projects.
The TIM team also showed which design management methods facilitate the transfer and development of communities. Using the fictitious case of "Clothing for frequent sitters", the topic of product development with its challenges and opportunities was played through and various methods such as the Lotus Blossom or the Business Model Canvas were practiced together in the project team.
Dr. Monika Voigt used the TEXTILE INNOVATION network to demonstrate the approach to knowledge, technology and innovation transfer in the textile sector. The network is a good example of how attempts are made to retain and develop regional know-how through technological advancement and a good knowledge community in the region.
Further online and face-to-face meetings of the partners will take place as the project progresses. The knowledge communities will be built up in the three focus groups Biobased Materials, Sustainable Materials and Advanced Materials and the exchange of transfer methods will be intensified.
