Bavaria Makes Member “Vocus” Wins the 2026 BRE Award

VOCUS GmbH was awarded first place at the BRE3D Award 2026. The award recognized a project that demonstrates the successful use of additive manufacturing in a safety-critical aviation application.
The metal component for high-temperature exhaust systems was developed in collaboration with industry partners, manufactured using additive manufacturing, and successfully certified for flight operations. The jury was particularly impressed by the combination of a digital process chain, quality assurance, traceability, and regulatory aviation certification. The award-winning project demonstrates that additive manufacturing has long since moved beyond prototyping and is increasingly being used in demanding industrial series production applications.
