Overview of selected sector coupling plants in Bavaria

With 280 million tons of CO 2 equivalents , the electricity sector is the largest greenhouse gas emitter, followed by the heating sector with 260 million tons of CO 2 equivalents and the transport sector with 210 million tons of CO 2 equivalents . Sector coupling systems can form an important part of the energy system of the future and help to achieve the climate targets. The overview compiled by the Energy Technology Cluster presents some current sector coupling systems in Bavaria. Readers are invited to suggest further systems.
