Young Talent Award from Bavaria Makes e.V.

To promote young scientists, Bavaria Makes e.V. is announcing the Bavaria Makes Young Talent Award for the first time. The award recognizes outstanding bachelor’s theses, master’s theses, and dissertations that were completed within the last twelve months and make a significant scientific or technological contribution in the field of additive manufacturing.

We are seeking theses that demonstrate a high degree of innovation, scientific excellence, and recognizable potential for transfer to industrial applications. The evaluation will focus in particular on scientific quality, relevance to additive manufacturing, and the practical applicability of the results. The three best projects will be honored during the Bayreuth AM Days 2026 at Neue Materialien Bayreuth GmbH. Details about the event can be found here.

1st Place: €1,500
2nd Place: €1,000
3rd Place: €500

(In addition, Bavaria Makes will cover travel and lodging expenses for attending the awards ceremony.)
