In 2026, the storage capacity of the large-scale battery storage systems operated by RWE in Germany stood at around 400 megawatt-hours. This made the energy provider the largest operator of large-scale storage systems (1,000 kilowatt-hours or more) in terms of both storage capacity and gross output. The storage capacity of all large-scale battery storage systems in Germany totaled approximately 4,270 megawatt-hours in March 2026.
