The European Commission has launched a new call for mobility grants under the Culture Moves Europe initiative for artists and cultural professionals in architecture, heritage, design, fashion, literature, music, performing arts and visual arts. Culture Moves Europe and these grants serve to promote creativity, exchange, connections and fruitful learning across borders.

Which projects are supported?

Artists and cultural professionals can apply with a proposal to carry out a project with a partner of their choice in a country involved in the Creative Europe program that is not their country of residence. Applications can be submitted either as an individual or as a group of up to five people.

The project should pursue two of the following four objectives:

  • Explore: to undertake creative and artistic research, explore, inspire and work on a particular theme or new concept
  • Create: engage in a creative process to produce a new artistic/cultural work
  • Learning: expanding competencies and skills through non-formal learning or working with a specialist
  • Making contacts: building a professional network, strengthening professional development, reaching new target groups

The partner can be, for example, a fellow artist, an organization or a venue in the target country. Applicants must provide proof of collaboration as part of the application process.
Grants are available for artists and cultural professionals living with a disability. They are particularly encouraged to apply. The call for applications runs until November 30, 2024.
