With its floating current turbines, Munich-based Energyminer GmbH has won the KfW “Gründen 2026” Award in Bavaria and is focusing on an innovative form of electricity generation from flowing waters.
Munich-based Energyminer GmbH has been named the Bavarian state winner of the KfW Bank’s “Gründen 2026” award. The company has developed floating current turbines that generate electricity from the flow of rivers. The units, which are about three meters long, are called “Energyfish” and can be interconnected to form a swarm power plant. No dams or major construction work is required for this. The first swarm power plant, consisting of 124 turbines, has been approved on the Rhine near St. Goar. The first units have already been installed in the water.
