Rolls-Royce Power Systems has launched the new "Battery Analytics" software on the market. The Group intends to use it to further expand its battery portfolio in a targeted manner.
Rolls-Royce has launched the "Battery Analytics" software for its Energy Pack battery solutions. According to Rolls-Royce Power Systems, this software will enable operators of these battery systems to monitor battery status indicators in real time and receive early warnings of potential problems. Intelligent algorithms would enable proactive maintenance and performance optimization, reducing unplanned downtime and improving operational efficiency.
According to the provider, Battery Analytics is an extension of the "mtu EnergetIQ" control platform. EnergetIQ serves as a central control system for power plants and manages decentralized energy systems, including generation, storage and load.
The data is processed locally in a containerized environment within the "mtu EnergetIQ control cabinets", the Group continued in its press release. This configuration offers maximum cyber security, data sovereignty and independence from an internet connection. Optional cloud connectivity is available via the "mtu Go platform" and enables extended data storage, fleet-wide analysis and remote monitoring.
Rolls-Royce will be presenting its Battery Analytics battery solutions at the EES trade fair for batteries and energy storage systems in Munich on stand B2.410.
