As an implementer in the cultural and creative industries (CCI), you play a crucial role in developing and strengthening the sector. However, you may face the challenge of securing the financial resources for your projects so that they can reach their full potential. This is precisely where the funding guidelines for projects by project leaders in the cultural and creative industries of the State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development, and Energy (StMWi) come in.
These guidelines enable you to apply for financial support for projects that specifically contribute to the further development, strengthening, and networking of the cultural and creative industries in Bavaria. The Innovation Network for the Creative Industries provides advice and preliminary review of applications on behalf of the StMWi.
The Free State of Bavaria grants subsidies for projects by organizations in the cultural and creative industries
The funding serves to:
- develop and strengthen Bavaria's cultural and creative industries in both urban centers and rural regions, thereby increasing the competitiveness of Bavaria's cultural and creative industries;
- promote exchange between all submarkets and sectors of Bavaria's cultural and creative industries and networking among creative professionals from different submarkets (support for network formation);
- promoting cross innovation (cross sector and cross disciplinary cooperation between creative professionals, companies, cultural institutions, and (art) colleges (e.g., in innovation labs) and consolidating cultural and creative industry ecosystems), and
- increasing the visibility of creative achievements.
Eligible persons
The funding guidelines are aimed at promoters, i.e. institutions, organizations, associations and companies that are committed to the cultural and creative industries or individual submarkets. Funding is provided for economically oriented projects and formats - "from the industry for the industry".
Eligible measures
Funding is provided for measures that strengthen, network and further develop the cultural and creative industries in Bavaria. These include, among other things
- Measures to build the image and identity of the industry
- Events - from workshops to participation in trade fairs
- Market development measures
- Cross-innovation-processes - cross-industry cooperation
- European exchange projects
Promotion
There are various funding options:
- Flat-rate funding: 2,000 euros or 5,000 euros as fixed-amount funding for events
- Proportional funding for larger projects: The maximum funding rate is 50%; there is no legal entitlement to funding. Funding is awarded subject to the availability of budget funds.
Applicant
It is aimed at institutions, associations, companies or other organizations whose projects promote not only themselves, but also the entire industry or individual submarkets. The project should provide impetus for the further development of the cultural and creative industries and support networking within the sector.
