The Polish city of Bielsko-Biała is seeking proposals for landscape art projects as part of its bid for the title of "European Capital of Culture 2029" as part of an open call. Creative professionals from all disciplines are invited to submit their project ideas by May 31, 2024.
The call is aimed at cultural professionals from all over the world. The submission of collaborative project ideas from interdisciplinary teams is expressly encouraged. In their practical work, artists must demonstrate a clear commitment to the themes of creativity, well-being and environmental awareness. The selected project ideas will receive a fee of 1,500 euros. The organizer is the Urban Culture Institute - City of Weaves, City of Bielsko-Biała, Poland.
The Open Call was developed as part of the Cities Ahead Academy Bielsko-Biała, which was organized by the Goethe-Institut in cooperation with the city of Bielsko-Biała in January 2024. The Goethe-Institut's CITIES AHEAD project supports ambitious European cultural and creative cities in gaining more international visibility and cultural appeal.
