Note on the promotion of AI integration in innovative production systems

Notice for the announcement of the guideline for funding projects on the topic of "Innovative production systems through AI integration (InProKI)" as part of the "Future of Value Creation - Research on Production, Services and Work" program.

The funding guideline supports the development and testing of AI applications that are intended to significantly increase productivity. The aim is to enable next-generation products, production systems and product service systems through flexible and practical AI solutions. Central components are AI engineering, integration into real production environments and their monitoring and maintenance. In particular, the analysis and demonstration of the use of AI in value-added networks to sustainably increase productivity is funded.

Within the framework of the federal funding program, alliances of normally five to seven independent partners are funded.

Funding is provided for interdisciplinary collaborative projects between industry and science - in principle, the projects can take into account the innovation process up to Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 8.

The deadline for submitting outlines for this two-stage application process is May 22, 2026.
