New Platform for the Cultural and Creative Industries in Europe

Europe is committed to strengthening connections within the cultural and creative industries: The new ekip platform promotes exchange among creative professionals, researchers, policymakers, and cities, and creates space for collaborative innovation.

ekip is a new collaborative platform that connects stakeholders from the cultural and creative industries, politics, research, cities, and institutions across Europe.

The goal is to more closely integrate the cultural and creative industries as drivers of innovation into social and political processes. To this end, ekip focuses on knowledge exchange, the joint development of ecosystems, and the formulation of policy recommendations.

The platform comprises three key areas:

• A Europe-wide network of creative professionals, cities, researchers, and policymakers
• An observatory for analyzing trends, challenges, and opportunities
• The ekip Engine process for the joint development of policy recommendations and innovation approaches

The focus is on exchange between different stakeholder groups. Through events, dialogue formats, and participatory labs, the initiative aims to generate new momentum for innovation-driven developments in Europe and strengthen the policy dialogue between the cultural and creative industries and other stakeholders.
