The aim is to combine sustainable product development with engineering know-how - along the entire life cycle of products.

The course combines technology, design, economics, environmental ethics and environmental law. Particular attention is paid to the sustainable use of raw materials and modern recycling concepts. Students gain practical insights, particularly at the Hutthurm campus, where research is carried out with industrial partners on innovative plastic and fiber composite solutions.

Graduates of the seven-semester program receive a Bachelor of Engineering and qualify for a wide range of professional fields - from product development to life cycle assessment. Further Master's courses at DIT are also possible.
