New Funding for Great Ideas: Federal Government Seeks Cross-Sector Innovations from the Creative Industries, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, and the Tech Sector
June 29, 2026
Cross-innovations bring together creativity, technology, and business. The new IGP funding program supports cross-industry collaborations and innovative business models with future potential.
The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs has launched a new call for proposals under the Innovation Program for Business Models and Pioneering Solutions (IGP). The program is seeking cross-innovations—that is, joint innovations that emerge across industries and disciplines.
Funding is available for non-technical innovations such as new business models, services, organizational structures, or digital applications. Collaborations between startups, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), the creative industries, manufacturing, skilled trades, and digital companies are particularly sought after.
Selection will take place through a multi-stage competitive process. Applications for participation can be submitted until August 20, 2026.
This call for proposals is particularly exciting for the CreativeTechHUB community because it specifically strengthens the collaboration between creativity, technology, and business.
