New Battery Module Production Line in Vilshofen

Starting in 2027, FENECON will begin manufacturing with three new production lines in Germany, creating more than 100 jobs in the region

FENECON is investing in the expansion of its production facilities at its Albersdorf/Vilshofen site. As part of the ERDF funding co-financed by the European Union, a new manufacturing facility for battery technology will be built there starting in 2027. The goal is to relocate additional manufacturing steps to Germany and, in the future, to also produce residential and commercial energy storage systems as “Made in Germany” products.

A total of three production lines are planned on an area of approximately 5,000 square meters. In addition to battery module production, lines will be set up for the production of hybrid inverters and a new management box. This management box is intended to integrate the battery and energy management systems into a single unit in the future.

FENECON already manufactures its industrial storage systems in Germany. In addition, the company operates repair lines for all product components. This allows defective components to be returned and repaired in-house. The goal is to reduce the need for work steps abroad as well as the disposal of defective components.

With this expansion, FENECON aims to manufacture all products in Germany starting in 2027. The investment is also expected to create more than 100 new jobs in the region, thereby strengthening the local economy in the long term.

For FENECON, local manufacturing focuses in particular on high quality standards and short supply chains—both in production and in delivery. An opening ceremony is planned once the new production lines are completed.
