Month in review March: Impulses from the cultural and creative industries

In March, the cultural and creative industries proved to be a strong driving force. From networking in the district of Rosenheim to AI discussions with the Swabian Chamber of Industry and Commerce and bayern design. The Würzburg-Schweinfurt Chamber of Industry and Commerce also focused on its growing economic importance.

The network meeting of the cultural and creative industries in the district of Rosenheim kicked off on 16.03.2026. As part of the INSTI funding project of BLVKK e. V., numerous players came together to exchange ideas, make new contacts and further strengthen the visibility of the creative industries in the region. Our colleague Charlotte Stegmayer gave an insight into our CreativeTech offerings and provided important food for thought for further dialog.

On 24.03.2026, the topic of artificial intelligence came into focus in Augsburg. Together with the Swabian Chamber of Industry and Commerce, bayern design organized the business panel "Human meets AI". The focus was on the question of how AI can support everyday working life in the future as an assistance system, exoskeleton or in the form of robotics. In addition to expert impulses from research and industry, the practical examples and interactive applications in particular offered tangible access to the technologies.

Another focal point was the joint meeting of the trade, services and tourism committees of the Würzburg-Schweinfurt Chamber of Industry and Commerce. Together with our colleagues Charlotte Stegmayer and Sivanne Burbulla, the role of the cultural and creative industries as an economic driver was discussed. The focus was on their growing importance for other sectors and for Bavaria as a business location as a whole.

The events in March clearly showed that the cultural and creative industries are much more than a sector in its own right. It connects industries, provides impetus and actively shapes the future.
