05.12.2024
With over 800 visitors over two days, the second Munich Pop Conference organized by Feierwerk Fachstelle Pop seamlessly continued the success of the first edition in 2022.
On November 15 and 16, 2024, numerous music enthusiasts gathered at the Feierwerk in Munich to discuss important industry topics. Pop professionals, music newcomers and representatives from politics and administration had the opportunity to take part in exciting workshops, discussions, network meetings, lectures, concerts and many other inspiring program items related to the music business. The varied evening program and the concluding concert evening "pushing.boundaries" showed the diversity of the Munich music scene.
Oliver Wittmann, Head of the Bavarian Center for Cultural and Creative Industries, was one of the speakers on the Night Economy panel. Anna Blaich (Bundesstiftung LiveKultur), David Boppert (VDMK) and Jürgen K. Enninger (Consultant for Culture, World Heritage and Sport, Augsburg) were also represented. Jan Krattiger (Abendzeitung) was the moderator. Nils Runge (Night Manager City & Region Stuttgart, Pop-Büro Region Stuttgart) gave the impulse "Night Economy Study City of Stuttgart".
The panel discussed the topic of night-time economy and the current study situation. How important is such a study for Munich and the economic influence of the music industry? The idea was born to carry out a night-time economy study.
