The Hessian State Prize for Innovative Energy Solutions is entering the next round: The Hessian Ministry of Economics, Energy, Transport, Housing and Rural Areas has launched the competition for 2026 and is calling for innovative projects to be submitted.
Companies, municipalities, institutions and private individuals are looking for creative and pioneering solutions that actively contribute to the energy transition. Students and school pupils can also submit their concepts.
Broad spectrum of energy transition topics
The competition covers the entire spectrum of the energy sector. Applications are possible in the following categories:
- Electricity
- heat
- mobility
- System integration
- Young talent
- Social commitment
The prize is therefore aimed at both technological innovations and social initiatives in the context of the energy transition.
Prize money and application
The winners receive prize money of 7,500 euros, and 2,500 euros in the young talent category. Runners-up will also be awarded up to 2,500 euros.
Interested parties can submit their projects online until April 30, 2026.
Stimulus for innovative energy solutions
With the competition, the state of Hesse is recognizing outstanding contributions to the transformation of the energy system and at the same time wants to make new ideas and projects visible.
