Federal Ministry of Economics publishes seven calls for funding

Five priority programs to accelerate innovations in electricity, heat and energy systems - from geothermal energy to large heat pumps

The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection (BMWK) has published several new calls for funding that address key areas of the energy transition.

The programs are aimed at municipalities, industry, research institutions and energy suppliers and are intended to bring technological innovations into practice more quickly. The focus is on electricity and heating technologies, test infrastructures, cross-sector heat supply and the cyber resilience of the energy system.

Real-world laboratories for the energy transition 2025: testing under real conditions

With the new real-world laboratories, the BMWK aims to test innovative technologies and business models in real operating environments. The focus is on solutions for electricity and heating applications. Municipalities, companies in the energy sector, energy-intensive industries and the housing industry are particularly eligible to apply.
