Wavelab Launches Program for Technology-Driven Startup Teams

The Wavelab at the Munich University of Music and Performing Arts is launching the new “Creative Industry Startup Program” for the 2026–27 winter semester. Startup teams from across Europe with a validated business idea and a technology focus in the cultural and creative industries are eligible to apply.
Up to five teams will be selected to further develop their startup ideas over the course of one semester. The program is aimed, among others, at startups in the fields of music tech, film tech, theater tech, museum tech, and art tech.
The program combines in-person weeks in Munich and Berlin with team coaching, pitch training, and digital workshops. The program is complemented by exchanges with experts from the fields of culture, technology, and entrepreneurship, a coworking space in Munich’s Kunstareal, and connections to companies, investors, and potential customers.
