Study on adoption factors of data rooms

10/20/2022

Many applications for the digitization of production and engineering are based on the exchange of data between several organizations. One approach to enabling such data exchange is data rooms, in which data is not consolidated centrally, but remains stored at the source and can be exchanged directly between companies as needed.

The question arises, however, as to what requirements these data rooms must meet so that they also deliver added value for manufacturing SMEs. The Johannes Kepler University Linz is currently engaged in a study to investigate influencing factors that can affect the introduction of data rooms. The results are intended to contribute to a better understanding and ultimately to a needs-based design of data rooms.

As the Digital Production & Engineering thematic platform at Bayern Innovativ, we support this study and invite you to participate.
