In developing a photovoltaic park, GP Joule has dispensed with the foundation of the module supports in concrete. In addition to the low surface sealing, this has other advantages.
The renewable energy company GP Joule has brought the 2.9 MW solar park "Pichl" in Aindling-Pichl near Augsburg to the grid. The special at this PV park lies in the relatively small surface sealing and further precautions for more Biodiversität.
According to a enterprise communication distributed on 30 January the module carriers of the 6,400 solar modules found exceptionally in simple posts rammed into the soil instead of the generally usual concrete foundation. This means that less than 1 percent of the 3.6 hectares of land will be sealed, according to the release. Thus the meadow area can be used after an end of the PV park again intensively agriculturally.
In addition small animals keep an entrance to the area by a 20 centimeters high ground-near strip at the fence. It is to be greened in the spring in coordination with the nature conservation authority and the municipality of Aindling. Compensatory areas have been provided for skylark and wagtail. On top of that, pesticides will be dispensed with. Project manager Karl-Heinz Diertl expects after few years a meager meadow as retreat area for fauna and flora.
The PV park remains with GP Joule. The technical and commercial management has taken over "GP Joule Service". Construction work had started in April 2022 and was completed "on schedule" despite delivery problems with components. GP Joule attributes this to the fact that with the company from Buttenwiesen in Bavaria and Reußenköge in Schleswig-Holstein, everything was in one hand, from securing the land to plant design and construction support to commissioning.
