We are pleased to introduce connyV, a new software product in our connectivity product family for integrating medical devices with clinical information systems.
Medical device manufacturers today need to seamlessly integrate their products with clinical IT to optimize data exchange. Hospital Futures Act regulations require improved interoperability and seamless information flow to enhance patient care and safety.
connyV is the answer to this challenge
connyV picks up the medical device where it is - at its proprietary interface - and then translates it into the "languages" of a wide variety of systems in the hospital. The interface is outsourced to connyV, a virtual machine. This saves time, resources and, if necessary, re-registration.
What's special about this is that multiple devices share a single interface, so new devices can also be subsequently connected. This is particularly worthwhile for manufacturers who have multiple systems in use at the hospital.
End customers (hospitals and doctors' offices) also benefit, because connyV forms a bridge between IT and the device network that can be used by multiple devices instead of connecting each device directly to the IT network. This makes the implementation of cybersecurity for the highly sensitive device network much easier.
