Dr. Marcus Seitz becomes the new head of the IHK's Innovation and Environment division

The Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) Nuremberg for Middle Franconia is getting new leadership in the "Innovation | Environment" division: Dr. Marcus Seitz (51) will take over as head of the division on October 1, 2025.
He succeeds Dr. Robert Schmidt, who is retiring.
The position was publicly advertised and the selection process was accompanied by an external personnel consultancy.
Dr. Seitz holds a doctorate in chemistry and studied at the University of Bayreuth, where he completed his doctorate in organometallic chemistry. From 2007 to 2014, he worked at Bayern Innovativ GmbH, where he was most recently responsible for the field of materials. He then moved to Lamilux Composites GmbH in Rehau, a subsidiary of the Lamilux Heinrich Strunz Group. There, he initially headed up the technical division, and since 2015 he has been an authorized signatory and member of the extended management team.
Born in Mittenwald, he lives with his family in Creußen near Bayreuth, where he will continue to live. With his move to the Nuremberg Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Seitz intends to contribute his experience in research, industry and innovation management in a targeted manner to business-related sustainability and technology promotion.
The Nuremberg Chamber of Industry and Commerce pays tribute to his predecessor, Dr. Robert Schmidt, for his many years of commitment and his achievements in expanding the Chamber's activities in the areas of innovation, energy and environmental management.
