On February 9, 2024, the certificate award ceremony for the four-month training course "Transformation Manager: in Sustainable Culture" of the Sustainability Action Network took place at the Kammerspiele in Munich. A total of 50 participants were honored. Among them was our bayernkreativ colleague Charlotte Stegmayer. Congratulations to her! The topic is very close to Charlotte's heart:
"Sustainability concerns us all sooner or later. That's why it was so important for me to expand and deepen my knowledge here. I took away many interesting approaches, but also concrete tools on how sustainability management can be set up in a meaningful way and I look forward to using these insights to accompany and support the Bavarian cultural and creative industries on their path to transformation."

The training provided the transformation managers with knowledge on the topic of climate impact adaptation and important skills to accompany and support cultural institutions on their path to transformation and to create climate assessments and sustainability concepts. In smaller working groups, concrete sustainability concepts for a cultural institution were developed for the final exam and presented to a high-caliber jury. For Oliver Wittmann, Head of the Bavarian Center for Cultural and Creative Industries, sustainability is of central importance:
"I am delighted that the ceremonial handover of the certificates for the transformation manager training course was able to take place in Munich, because it made it very clear that the Sustainability Action Network has also come to Bavaria. The work of the network and, of course, the Bavarian transformation managers is of great value in preparing companies in the Bavarian cultural and creative industries for the challenges of sustainable transformation."
- Oliver Wittmann, Head of the Bavarian Center for Cultural and Creative Industries
The closing event was attended not only by the new transformation managers in Munich, but also by numerous people from politics and the cultural and creative industries.
After introductory words from Oliver Beckmann, Managing Director of the Münchner Kammerspiele, Anton Biebl, Head of Cultural Affairs for the City of Munich, Oliver Wittmann, Head of the Bavarian Center for Cultural and Creative Industries, and Jacob Bilabel, Head of the Sustainability Action Network, as well as several keynote speeches, the certificates were awarded. This was followed by a joint dinner and networking event.
