A milestone for our cluster partner Sensodrive GmbH

The cluster partner of the Mechatronics & Automation cluster presented its new SensoJoints, the world's first torque-controlled robot drives with comprehensive safety certification, at the beginning of April - a great success for the company! Our cluster manager, Johannes Keuten, was able to see the new technology for himself at the product launch on April 2, 2025 in the Sensodrive showroom and gain interesting insights into the company.

The SensoJoint drives have been tested by TÜV SÜD and meet the requirements of safety integrity level SIL3/PLe and are certified in accordance with the IEC 61508, IEC 62061, ISO 13849 and IEC 61800-5-2 standards.

By integrating SensoJoint drives, manufacturers of cobots and medical robots can reduce development and certification costs and bring their products to market faster. The drives offer maximum sensitivity, universal applicability and unique control technology with active vibration damping. The SensoJoint drives were awarded the Bavaria 2024 Innovation Prize and voted "Product of the Year 2025" in the ELEKTRONIK readers' poll.
